UNLV running back Frank Summers will hold a live chat with Rebel fans on Tuesday.
UNLV senior running back Frank "The Tank" Summers held a live chat with Rebel fans on Tuesday.
UNLV Moderator: Okay, everybody, we are going to have Frank "The Tank" Summers here in a few minutes and he will chat with Rebel fans. Summers currently has 515 yards after six games and is looking to become only the eighth Rebel in history to gain 1,000 yards in a season.

Nance (Palm Bay, Fla.): The number 4 is an unusual number for a running back. Why did you choose it?
Frank: I first had No. 3 in high school, and Larry Johnson had No. 4, and he was my favorite player. Coming here I wanted to wear No. 4 because he was an All-American and I wanted to make that kind of mark on the football field.

Bruce (Idaho): If you could choose, would you rather run over someone for 5 yards or around someone for 10?
Frank: It depends on how far the end zone is. Running over someone to get a touchdown is my favorite run.

CJ (Las Vegas): Why do you rub your fingers together after you score a touchdown?
Frank: I have been doing it since high school. It stands for pay dirt or money in the bank. Every time I score a touchdown it is money.

Ken (Las Vegas): How do you feel after a week's rest?
Frank: I feel fresh and the game with Air Force is the first game of the season. I am eager to go out, play another game and get a win in our house.

Gregory: Do You remember we Celebrated our Birthdays (9/6)& you picked up a fumble & ran as a West Oakland Saint?
Frank: Hey Coach Jones, how are you doing? Yeah, I remember that.

Jeff (Las Vegas): Has anyone ever pulled on your hair braids to help them tackle you during a game?
Frank: Nope. It will take more than that to take me down.

OAKLAND: HEY ITS MILES
Frank: Miles who?

Mike (las vegas): What do you think will be the keys to getting a win against Air Force this Saturday? Also, what are some of your personal goals for the rest of the season?
Frank: We have to play hard all four quarters and be mentally smart. We need to execute our plays with no penalties and mistakes. Air Force is a team that is fundamentally sound and will take advantage of mistakes.

Greg (Great Falls, MT): What do you think of the new uniforms after playing six games in them? Do they fit good? Do you like the way they look? I think they look really good on TV.
Frank: I love them. I really like the away jerseys.

Nancy (Boise): Hi Frank! Who is someone that you admire, past or present, that you would want to meet...and why?
Frank: Sean Combs ... AKA P. Diddy. Just because of his work ethic and everything he has done has been a success. Clothing line, cologne, music...he is a great business man. He is someone I would really like to meet.

Wendy (Las Vegas): Frank, is it a big goal of yours to reach 1,000 yards rushing as senior?
Frank: The biggest goal is to go to a bowl game and win. That would mean more than any individual award that I could get this year.

courtney(lasvegas): frank, you are one of they best players we have this season. do you have a girlfriend? i just have to know, if you could relive any great moment from this season what game would it be?
Frank: A great moment of the season, so far, has been the Arizona State game. Winning a bowl game, though, would be the best game in my two years here.

Matt (Las Vegas): Frank, my brother and I hope you liked the shirts.
Frank: I love them and the coaching staff really like them as well. Thank you very much!

Justin (Henderson, NV): While you are a bruising runner, you also are able to catch the ball pretty good as well. Did you work on that part of your game more this summer?
Frank: I watched running backs in the NFL like LaDanian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk catch the ball a lot. To be a complete running back, catching the ball is a must. It gives you more chances to make plays with the ball.

Nicole (Las Vegas): Hi Frank...I heard that you like working with kids in the community...if you could give some advice to the young people today, what would it be?
Frank: My motto is do the right thing. It is important to go to school and stay out of trouble. Always dream big, because dreams do come true.

Mike (las vegas): Frank what has the offense worked on during the bye week the most in terms of getting more consistent on offense? It seems like we always see a lull in the middle of the game.
Frank: Preparing younger guys to go in and step in when the starters come out, to continue the flow of the game. As a team, we need to stay focused for the whole game and stay hungry and not be satisfied with a lead.
UNLV Moderator: Frank needs to get to class, so we will be ending the chat soon. Thanks again for all the questions.

Ben (Fort Collins): Tank: why do you think you get so many more yards in the second half of games this season?
Frank: I think the offensive line does a great job of picking up what the defensive line has been doing. I get more comfortable knowing what the linebackers and defensive line is doing. Also, after I get a few hard runs in, the defenders are a little tired and wore down a little bit, making the 5-10 yard run into a 20-30 yard run.
Frank: Thanks for all the questions. I wish I had more time, perhaps later in the year we can set up another chat. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Air Force game this Saturday. Go Rebels!
UNLV Moderator: Thanks again for all the questions.

Fans are reminded that this weekend's game against Air Force is part of Homecoming 2008.
