LAS VEGAS - Former Rebels Fernando Valenzuela and Patrick Dobson made their professional debuts on Wednesday night, playing in the single-A Northwest Baseball League.

Valenzuela plays with the Eugene Emeralds, the Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres, while Dobson plays with Salem-Keizer, the Single-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Eugene defeated Salem-Keizer 14-3 in the season opener for both teams.

Valenzuela went 4-for-6 with six RBI and three runs scored at first base. He homered twice and doubled, giving him a 1.833 slugging percentage. Dobson, who played centerfield for the Rebels last season, went 0-for-4 at centerfield for Salem-Keizer.
