Game Two Fit To Be Tied

Scarlet and Gray played to a 2-2 tie in the second game of the UNLV baseball fall World Series, as after seven innings at Earl E. Wilson Stadium the game was halted.

J.T. Putt had an RBI and Drew Beuerlein had a pair of hits for the Scarlet team, which scored a run in the first inning and another in the sixth.

Gray tied the game in the bottom of the second with a single run and the forced the tie by getting another run across the plate in the bottom of the seventh. Steve Rinaudo and Kyle Kretchmer each had two hits while Kretchmer and Kyle Konicek each drove in a run.

Game three will be Tuesday at 3:05 p.m. (PT) and features Steve Renaudo pitching for the Gray against Corey Hales for the Scarlet. Game four will be next Friday and game five next Saturday afternoon at 12:05 p.m.

All five games will be played and the winning team will be determined based on a points system over the entire length of the series.

Every game of the Scarlet-Gray World Series is free for the public to attend.
