Forced to log a lot of minutes down low as the team's starting center ... started all 35 games this season for the Runnin' Rebels, the majority of them out of position at center ... averaged 11.3 points per game, which was second on the team ... hit 67 3-pointers and shot .368 from behind the arc ... reached double figures in 21 games ... scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds against Dixie State ... just missed a double-double against Louisville on Nov. 21, scoring nine points and grabbing 13 rebounds ... hit three 3s and scored 13 points while collecting seven rebounds against in-state rival Nevada, Reno on Nov. 24 ... poured in a career-high 23 points against UTEP, going 4-of-8 from 3-point land and 7-of-7 at the charity stripe ... that started a string of six-straight games that he scored at least 11 points ... scored 17 points and added six rebounds versus Fresno State ... capped the run by scoring 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting against Kennesaw State ... notched a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds at San Diego State on Jan. 26 ... went 4-for-7 from behind the arc and scored 18 points at Utah on Feb. 6 ... hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points against San Diego State ... scored 15 points against TCU on March 1 ... hit all four of his free throws and scored 11 points in the Runnin' Rebels victory over TCU in the MWC Tournament quarterfinals ... scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds in the MWC title game ... went 4-of-6 from behind the arc and scored a game-high 18 points in the Runnin' Rebels' 71-58 victory over Kent State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Omaha, Neb.
SOPHOMORE (2006-07)
Appeared in 34 of UNLV's 37 games, starting two ... averaged 6.0 ppg and 1.9 rpg in 12.5 minutes per contest ... shot 41.7 percent from the field, 43.9 percent from 3-point range and 83.3 percent from the free throw line ... led UNLV in 3-point field goal percentage, was second in free throw percentage, fourth in 3-pointers made with 47, fifth in field goal percentage and sixth in scoring ... reached double figures in scoring in eight games, including six times in the team's first 10 contests ... led UNLV in rebounding in two games ... scored a season-high 13 points, three times including against Oregon in the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16 when he was 5-of-6 from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range ... made a game-tying 3-pointer against New Mexico on Jan. 27 with 38 seconds left to force overtime ... was the only UNLV player to make at least one 3-pointer in each of the first seven games of the season and finished the year making at least one 3-pointer in 25 games.
FRESHMAN (2005-06)
Appeared in 26 of UNLV's 30 games ... played an average of 8.6 minutes per game with averages of 2.4 ppg and 0.9 rpg ... shot 33.8 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from 3-point range and 66.7 percent from the free throw line ... was fifth on the team in 3-point shooting percentage ... had one double-figure scoring game when he scored a career-high 14 points on 5-of-6 from the field including 2-of-2 from 3-point range at Wyoming ... scored eight points in his first collegiate game vs. Long Beach State ... made at least one 3-pointer in 12 games.
HIGH SCHOOL
A 2005 graduate of Riverton High School in Riverton, Utah ... lettered three years ... led the state (5A) in scoring at 22 ppg his senior year ... also averaged 12 rpg and four apg ... named offensive player of the year and first team all-state ... recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds in the senior all-star game ... averaged 15 ppg and 13 rpg as a junior ... all-state as a junior ... ranked as the No. 10 west coast small forward by TheInsiderHoops.com and was included in the top-five west coast prospect class for 2005 ... his team made the state tournament all three of his years and advanced to the Final Four in 2002-03.

Joseph B. Darger was born Aug. 31, 1986, in Riverton, Utah ... majoring in university studies ... the son of John and Carollee Darger ... has seven siblings, Johnny (30), Crystal (28), Angel (27), Jason (25), Dustin (23), Stacy (17) and Jordan (13) ... his brother Jason played basketball at the College of Eastern Utah.
