The Epicurean Charitable Foundation Student-Athlete of the Game
![]() The Epicurean Charitable Foundation of Las Vegas will make a $1000 per game scholarship contribution to the UNLV men's basketball program in the name of the Runnin' Rebel student-athlete who in each game best exemplifies the competitive spirit and determination in giving UNLV its best chance for victory. The program for 2007-08 started on Dec. 1. 2007-08 ECF Student-Athlete of the Game Dec. 1 - vs. UTEP - Curtis Terry (7-of-9 from the field, including 6-of-8 from 3-point range - scoring 20 points with six rebounds, four assists and just one turnover in 33 minutes in UNLV's 84-71 win) Dec. 5 - at Northern Arizona - Wink Adams (5-of-8 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. He scored a game-high-tying 16 points, had a game-high six assists, while grabbing four rebounds and recording two steals in 32 minutes of action in UNLV's 83-74 win) Dec. 8 - vs. Fresno State - René Rougeau (8-of-11 from the field in scoring a career and game-high 19 points. He had a career-high-tying five steals and added five rebounds, a career-high-tying three assists and one blocked shot with no turnovers in 27 minutes of action in UNLV's 84-71 win) Dec. 19 - vs. Arizona - Wink Adams (7-of-16 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range and made both of his free throw attempts to score a game-high 19 points . He added a team-high eight rebounds and a team-high-tying four assists and stole the ball four times. He also had just one turnover in 34 minutes of action in UNLV's 52-49 loss) Dec. 22 - vs. UT Martin - Wink Adams (7-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range and made 3-of-4 free throws for a team-high 20 points, giving him exactly 1,000 points scored for his career. He added five rebounds, two assists and a steal in just 23 minutes of action in UNLV's 74-48 win) Dec. 28 - vs. Kennesaw State - Joe Darger (6-of-8 from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range in scoring a game-high 18 points. He also grabbed four rebounds and had an assist and blocked shot in just 21 minutes of action in UNLV's 78-55 win) Dec. 29 - vs. Nicholls State - Corey Bailey (5-of-9 from the field, including 1-of-2 from 3-point range in scoring 11 points in only 16 minutes of action. He scored nine points in the first half in helping UNLV race out to a 35-11 halftime lead. He also had two rebounds and an assist in UNLV's 64-42 win) Dec. 30 - vs. Minnesota - Matt Shaw (3-of-6 from the field, including 1-of-2 from 3-point range and 7-of-9 from the free throw line in scoring 14 points. He grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds to record the first double-double of his career and also the first for a UNLV player this season. He played 23 minutes in UNLV's 81-64 win and was also named to the Duel in the Desert All-Tournament team) Jan 5. - at Colorado State - Curtis Terry (6-of-8 from 3-point range for the game in scoring a game-high-tying 18 points. He was 6-of-10 from the field overall and dished out five assists without committing a turnover in 38 minutes of action. He also added four rebounds in UNLV's 65-62 win) Jan. 12 - at Air Force - René Rougeau (He had a game-high and career-high-tying five steals and a game-high seven rebounds. Also added five points on 2-of-4 from the field (and 1-of-2 from the free throw line) in UNLV's 65-53 loss) Jan. 15 - vs. BYU - Curtis Terry (He scored a game-high 21 points on 7-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range. He made both of his free throw attempts, pulled down four rebounds and dished out three assists in 33 minutes of action in UNLV's 70-41 win) Jan. 23 - vs. Wyoming - Wink Adams (Scored a career-high 33 points, 22 of those in the second half to help UNLV overcome a 40-32 halftime deficit and win 78-71. Adams was 9-of-21 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range and 11-of-12 from the free throw line for the game (he made each of his first 11 free throw attempts). Adams also pulled down four rebounds and recorded three steals and two assists in 36 minutes of action against the Cowboys) Jan. 26 - at San Diego State - Joe Darger (He recorded game-highs of 19 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double in helping UNLV to a 72-69 win. Darger was 6-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range and made all four of his free-throw attempts) Jan. 30 - at TCU - Wink Adams (He scored 18 of his game-high 25 points in the second half to lead UNLV to a 70-58 win at TCU. Adams was 8-of-17 from the field, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range and made all four of his free throw attempts. He also dished out five assists and grabbed three rebounds in 37 minutes of action) Feb. 2 - vs. New Mexico - Wink Adams (He scored 17 of his game-high 24 points in the first half to lead UNLV to a 79-60 win over New Mexico. After going 6-of-9, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range in the first half, Adams finished the game with a 9-of-14 performance from the field. He also had four rebounds, three steals and one assist in 28 minutes of action) Feb. 6 - at Utah - Joe Darger (He scored a team-high 18 points on 6-of-9 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range and made both of his free throw attempts in UNLV's 81-73 loss at Utah. He also had three rebounds and an assist) Feb. 9 - vs. Colorado State - Wink Adams (He scored a team-high 23 points on 9-of-14 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range in UNLV's 68-51 home win over Colorado State. Adams also dished out six assists, had just one turnover, grabbed five rebounds and recorded two steals in 32 minutes of action) Feb. 12 - vs. Air Force - Corey Bailey (Bailey scored 11 points on 5-of-6 from the field, including making his only 3-point attempt in UNLV's 58-51 win over Air Force. Bailey also grabbed a team-high and career-high-tying seven rebounds, while dishing out two assists and blocking a shot in 28 minutes of action) Feb. 16 - at BYU - Corey Bailey (Bailey led UNLV in scoring with 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting in the 74-48 loss at BYU. He added three rebounds, two assists and a block and a steal in 28 minutes of action) Feb. 23 - at Wyoming - Wink Adams (He scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed a game-high and career-high-tying 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season and the second of his career in UNLV's 73-65 win at Wyoming. Adams was 8-of-15 from the field, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range. He also made 4-of-6 free throws and had four assists in 39 minutes of action) Feb. 26 - vs. San Diego State - Joe Darger (He scored 13 points, including three 3-pointers in the second half, in helping UNLV to a 68-58 win over San Diego State. Darger made a key 3-pointer with 6:03 left in the game, which gave UNLV a 54-47 lead, then 30 seconds later, he made another to give UNLV a 10-point lead at 59-49. He was 4-of-7 from the field for the game, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range. He also added three rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes of action) March 1 - vs. TCU - René Rougeau (He was one of four Runnin' Rebels in double figures in scoring as UNLV defeated TCU 74-55. Rougeau scored 14 points on 4-of-6 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line. He also had six rebounds, three steals and three assists in 23 minutes of action) March 4 - at New Mexico - Mareceo Rutledge (Rutledge scored seven points on 3-of-4 shooting from the field, including 1-of-2 from 3-point range in UNLV's 59-45 loss at New Mexico. He also had two rebounds with a steal in 13 minutes of action) March 8 - vs. Utah - Curtis Terry (On Senior Day, Terry recorded his first double-double of his four-year career with a game-high 22 points along with 10 assists to lead UNLV past Utah 70-63. He was 7-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range and made all four of his free throw attempts. Terry also grabbed five rebounds and had a steal in 38 minutes of action)
