'UNLV Rebels Down Under' will be shown on channel 8 at 3 p.m. on July 12.

LAS VEGAS - KLAS-TV Channel 8 will air "UNLV Rebels Down Under, Sponsored By Findlay Toyota" on Saturday, July 12 at 3 p.m. PDT.

KLAS sports director Chris Maathuis, who traveled with the UNLV men's basketball team on its exhibition tour in Australia from June 25-July 5, hosts the program. Highlights of all six games, coach and player interviews and behind the scenes footage of the trip will be featured.

The 30-minute show will also include a behind-the-scenes look at head coach Lon Kruger during the games (wearing a microphone), the players at the Australian Zoo, the sights and sounds of Sydney and the tour of the Opera House, a trip to the Gold Coast's Surfer's Paradise beach, a segment on a national Australian television network doing a feature on the Runnin' Rebels' visit Down Under and the day spent at the Great Barrier Reef among other things.

The show will also be available at UNLVRebels.com after it airs on KLAS.
