Rebels Climb A Spot In Rankings

March 12, 2007

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's golf team moved up a spot and is No. 6 in the nation in the latest edition of the Golfweek ratings.

UNLV's strong finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship this past weekend, where the Rebels came in fourth overall in one of the strongest fields in the nation, helped move them up a spot in the poll.

The top 10 are Stanford, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma State, UNLV, Southern California, UCLA, Lamar and Clemson.

The Rebels have two players ranked in the top 50 of the individual ratings in Jarred Texter (20th) and Ryan Keeney (39th).

UNLV will be back in action at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate, held March 26-27 in Austin, Texas.
