LAS VEGAS - UNLV senior star Henner Nehles lost in the first round of consolation play Friday at the National Indoor Intercollegiate Tennis Championships, which are being held at the University of Michigan Varsity Tennis Center.

Nehles, who was the first Rebel to ever compete in the elite event, was eliminated by 24th-ranked Jonathan Chu of Harvard 6-4, 6-4. While Nehles, ranked 46th, heads home, his teammates began play at the UNLV Fall Classic individual tournament Friday.
