UNLV will hold a full set of camps in the summer of 2009. Lady Rebel Summer Camps Ready For New Beginning In 2009
Due to the recent transition of the entire coaching staff over the past two months, the UNLV women's basketball program will be suspending its basketball camps this summer. They will bring back a full set of basketball camps (including individual, elite, team, with others to possibly be added as well) for the summer in 2009. [ + ]

Former Lady Rebel Kathy Olivier has been named head coach for the UNLV women's basketball team, Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick announced on Tuesday. Olivier, who is the eighth head coach in the Lady Rebels' 33-year history, comes back to Las Vegas after spending the past 15 years as head coach at UCLA. [ + ]

UNLV Falls To CSU in MWC First Round
Sara Hunter and Elle Queen each scored a game-high 16 points to lead Colorado State over UNLV, 68-49, in the play-in round of the Mountain West Conference tournament Tuesday night. Shamela Hampton led the No. 8 and host Rebels (8-22) with 16 points and six rebounds. Raquel Jupiter had eight points and nine rebounds for UNLV. [ + ]
 
Lady Rebels Open MWC Tournament Tuesday
The Lady Rebels will open play in the 2008 Mountain West Conference Tournament on Tuesday, as UNLV will be in the No. 8-No. 9 play-in game for the first time in school history. UNLV actually tied Air Force for seventh in the league standings at 4-12, but lost the tiebreaker to the Falcons, due to Air Force finishing three spots higher in the latest NCAA RPI (as of March 5). Thus, the Lady Rebels are the eighth seed in the tournament, and will take on ninth-seeded Colorado State, with the winner going on to meet top-seeded Utah on Wednesday. [ + ]
 
Lady Rebels Place Two On All-MWC Teams
UNLV women's basketball player Sequoia Holmes became the fifth different player in school history to be named to the Mountain West All-Conference First Team, while Shamela Hampton was a third-team selection, as the league announced its postseason awards on Monday. It is the third all-conference award for Holmes in her career, while Hampton was named third team for the second-straight season. [ + ]
