MWC Championships Final Results Get Acrobat Reader

UNLV women's golf finished in third place following Saturday's final round of the Mountain West Conference Championships, played at the Championship Course and hosted by the University of New Mexico.

The Rebels shot a final-round 302 (+10), giving them a three-day total of 916 (+40), which was nine strokes behind BYU for second place. UNLV was paced by the trio of Therese Koelbaek, Natasha Krishna and Alejandra Guacaneme, who all finished in the top 10.

New Mexico ran away with the team title, finishing with a three-round total of 888 (+12), good for a 19-stroke win over BYU, which came in second place with a score of 907 (+31). UNLV was third, followed by TCU (923, +47), Colorado State (942, +66), Wyoming (968, +92) and San Diego State (969, +93).

Jodi Ewart of UNM earned medalist honors as she was the only player to finish at par, with a 54-hole total of 219 (E), as she earned a two-stroke victory over teammate Morgan Grantham and Natalia Jimenez of BYU.

Koelbaek finished her first league tournament tied for fourth with a three-round score of 223 (+4) after she finished with a one-over 74 on her round today. Guacaneme and Krishna finished tied for 10 th with scores of 229 (+10).

Rebel senior Tonya Choate finished tied for 20th with a score of 237 (+18) and Kasi Lee came in tied for 24th with a total of 241 (+22).
