	Three Rebels Earn All-MWC Recognition The Mountain West All-Conference softball awards, as selected by the league's six head coaches, were announced today. UNLV placed three student-athletes (Ashli Holland, Brittany Bolinger and Jaci Hull) on the 20-member squad. [ + ]
	Rebels Fall In Season Finale The UNLV Rebels (25-40-1 overall, 5-15 Mountain West Conference) lost its final game of the 2008 season on "Senior Day" to the #19 San Diego State Aztecs, 6-0, Saturday afternoon at Eller Media Stadium. The win gives SDSU the MWC Championship with a 15-5 league mark and 43-15 overall record. [ + ]
	Rebels Falter Against Aztecs The UNLV Rebels (25-39-1 overall, 5-14 Mountain West Conference) dropped a 9-0, five-inning decision to the #19 San Diego State Aztecs (42-15, 14-5) on Friday night at Eller Media Stadium. The Aztecs took a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning with help from two Rebel errors and never looked back as Christina Ross tossed a one-hitter for the visitors. [ + ]

Rebel Trio Earn Academic All-District Honors
Three UNLV softball student-athletes were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Eight Teams on Thursday. Jaci Hull was tabbed to the first team, while Brittany Bolinger and Caitlyn Paus were selected to the second team. Hull is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America status by virtue of being placed on the district's first team. [ + ]

Rebels Close Out Season At Home
The UNLV Rebel softball team will closedown the 2008 season this weekend when they host the San Diego State Aztecs in the regular season finale for both squads. The teams will play a set of games with the first one scheduled on Friday, May 9 at 6:00 pm, while the second is set for Saturday, May 10 at 1:00 pm. Saturday has been deemed "Senior Day", as UNLV will celebrate the careers of its five seniors (Caitlyn Paus, Sandy Nakamura, Rosa Ordaz, Heather Slettvet and Stephanie Bean). [ + ]

Seventh-Inning Rally Falls Short
The UNLV Rebels attempted a seventh-inning rally, but fell short as the Colorado State Rams (26-21 overall, 6-10 Mountain West Conference) held on for the 13-11 victory. UNLV (25-38-1 overall, 5-13 MWC) trailed 13-6 heading into its final at-bat and had the potential winning run at the plate when the game's final out was recorded. [ + ]

Roughed Up By The Rams
The UNLV Rebels lost a 14-6, Mountain West Conference contest to the Colorado State Rams on Saturday night at Eller Media Stadium. The Rebels held a 5-1 lead through three, but watched as the Rams scored 13 runs over the remaining innings to claim the game. UNLV drops to 25-35-1 overall and 5-11 in conference play, while CSU improves to 25-21 and 5-10, respectively. [ + ]

Rebels Hunt Down Lobos
The UNLV Rebels closed out its season series with the New Mexico Lobos in dramatic fashion. The Rebels swept the Lobos in all four of their Mountain West Conference games, including Friday night's doubleheader at Eller Media Stadium. UNLV took game one by a 6-3 margin and rallied for a 5-3 win in game two. [ + ]

Welcome Home
The UNLV Rebel softball team will finally play host to some softball games at Eller Media Stadium after playing its last 13 on the road. The Rebels will welcome the New Mexico Lobos to Las Vegas on Friday, May 2 for a doubleheader beginning at 4:00 pm. UNLV will then play the Colorado State Rams on Saturday, May 3 (6:00 pm) and Sunday, May 4 (1:00 pm). [ + ]
