UNLV To Host Youth League

Jan. 4, 2007

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV volleyball program has announced that they will host a middle school league for children in grades four though eight in the Cox Pavilion practice gym. The six-week league will take place one night a week from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The first night of the league will be Feb. 21 (Wednesday) and run until April 2, with one night off on March 5.

The league is open to boys and girls. The cost of the league will be $100 for those that register for all five sessions, otherwise walk-ups will run $25 per session. Middle school teams are welcomed and can remain intact for the entire five weeks. If a participant is signing up as a single then they will be placed on a team. If they are signing up with six or more teammates the individual cost will only be $75.00.

Each session will consist of an hour and a half (1:30) of play. The night will be split up in two 45-minute periods. The first 45 minutes is designated for skill instruction, while the second is set for coach guided play.
